  Les Fugate I honestly have never eaten at a "local" restaurant there. Just chains. But I love any opportunity to get LaRosa's and Skyline. I guess I have to mention that I always visit Trey Grayson when I visit Boone, right? Actually, Trey should join this game. He would love it.

  Travis M. Scott I have the same problem as Les. When I'm in Boone County, I'll go eat in Newport or Covington, so I'm going to loop Josh Estep into this one.

  Trey Grayson The sushi place is good according to Nancy. Some other good places: Tousey House in Burlington, Shakey's in Florence, LaRosa's has a great spot in Florence

  Matt Osborne I had Shakey's last week and recommend it. For work purposes, I'm stopping by to see Mayor Whalen and Judge Moore. While I'm there, I'm running out to the Gap factory store for 5 dollar shirts and 10 dollar pants, particularly as my weight keeps fluctuating.

  Marc Wilson Shakey's Pub and Grub is a must stop for politicos. Typically bi-partisan although proprietor Shakey Shaw shows his tea party when he starts shakin. I always like to call Tami Wilson when I'm in Boone County because she's my SHW. .

  Julia Bright Crigler Where I met my sweet husband Chase Crigler (while working on a campaign at the Lincoln Day Dinner of course). And where we live today! Gotta go see our lady of Boone Addia and big Tuna Marc Wilson! Tousey House is my favorite, Izzy's if youre pressed for time. And yes you have to do ALL the 4th of July and Memorial Day parades or you will lose the county.

  Jeff Noble Boone - Bill McBee when I was much younger. And this - 09/17/1983 - a group of us went to the IU-UK football game at Commonwealth Stadium in the afternoon, then up to see Johnny Bench's last game at the Cincinnati Reds, then ended the night very late at a Pizza Inn in Florence where we sang songs and drank too much beer. Jimmy, you and I drove. You had your big blue Oldsmobile and I had a Plymouth Volare.

  Joe Gallenstein Lucky Duck Pub is good too. Nice folks, diverse menu, affordable, and good house drinks.

  Wes Wright Best non-chain home cooking: Stringtown on Main St in the old Florence. There's another spot across from the old courthouse in Burlington. Will check back once I remember the name.

  Brandy Bailey Myoshi has outstanding sushi. El Rio Grande has great Mexican food, but I usually go to their location in Newport.
