  Matt Osborne I'm going to see Tonya Pullin and I'll have to rely on her recommendations for restaurants. The only place I've ever eaten is at Greenbo Lake State Park, which I think is one of our most overlooked parks.

  The only place I've eaten in Greenup is the Golden Corral, but they do have deep fried bacon.

  Stop in at Osborne's Grocery and get a milkshake on the South Shore end, Crispy Cone on the Wurtland end. The County Courthouse Square sits on the bank of the Ohio river, a picturesque setting for small town USA.
  Travis M. Scott, word bank. Golden Corral is on the county line, don't put that evil on us. Our claims to fame are Don Gullet, former pitcher for the Big Red Machine, Jesse Stuart, and Billy Ray Cyrus. Yes, you're welcome America, Miley is partly our fault as well as the expression "a penny saved is a penny earned."

  Trey Hieneman My aunt Sharon, any number of Hienemans, Tanya Pullin, andBobby Allen - the best tourism director in Kentucky, and a friend for over 15 years. I'm probably going to eat at Greenbo, Dave's Bakery for some doughnuts, or swing by the Flatwoods city pool (my former employer).

  Jeff Noble I haven't had much of any time there. Most recent visit was to walk precincts in South Shore for Robin Webb's special Senate election. As I recall, we ate in Greenup city, but I don't remember where. My friend Bobby Rowe is from Flatwoods but is now practicing law down in Prestonsburg (I think).

  Tanya Pullin The best way to see Greenup County is by convertible, on foot, bicycle (very bikeable), or motorcycle for the beautiful scenery or by boat on the rivers or lakes. You can drive across this covered bridge.

  Tanya Pullin After paying respects at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast with the Medal of Honor Memorial and a new carillon (in Argillite) or the Greenup County War Memorial (in Wurtland), stop by a grocery store or the KOA General Store for a sandwich or the farmers' market in Flatwoods for fresh, yummy produce.

  Tanya Pullin OR come to Greenup County to catch the train (AMTRAK) to Chicago, Cincinnati, Washington or the Greenbrier Resort. Catch it at the South Shore/South Portsmouth station. Book early. Lots of people take the train.
