  Jeff Noble I'm older than the rest of you and I personally knew Col. Trigg. He was a decent man who was in the title business, something I did when I was much younger. He helped lay out the original plat of Louisville for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He lived near Harrodsburg, specifically along the road from Burgin to Shakertown, KY33. He died, as stated, in the Blue Licks Battle of the Revolutionary War, in what would later be Robertson County. While many of Kentucky's counties are named for people with little or no connection to the state, Trigg is not one of them. He was an original frontiersman who found himself all over what would become Kentucky, a place he moved to while it was still a part of Fincastle County, Virginia. He is most deserving of a county. (Okay, I really didn't know him personally but the rest is true. He is one of my favorite people in early-Kentucky history. He died about 10 years before we became a state.)
