Travis M. Scott Annville in Jackson County is the birthplace of David "Stringbean" Aikman, of Grand Ole Opry fame. I'd visit Judge Smith and eat at that Dairy Bar as you go into McKee.
Ray Arnold Hill Top Pizza is good, Flat Lick Falls is my favorite natural wonder in Kentucky, check this link. There is a log cabin falling in on itself on a mountainside on the road to Irvine that I lived in for a time as a kid. http://www.visitjacksoncountyky.com/...
