SB-57. Jessamine County. See entry #777 for an explanation.
#57
is JESSAMINE COUNTY (named for Jessamine Creek which leaves a little
mystery of where Jessamine Creek got its name; county seat is
Nicholasville). Where do you eat & who do you visit with? #KY120Game — with Charlotte Flanary and 17 others.
- 2 people like this.
- Marisa FitzGerald Aull Go see Russ Meyer and Judge Cassity and a bunch of other good folks (too many to name) and grab a salad at copper river grill
- Travis M. Scott I'm going to loop in Asbury alums Liles Bennett Taylor and Katelyn Rose Wilson so Wilmore will get some representation.
- Marisa FitzGerald Aull Oh and according to a sign near the courthouse it's named after someone's daughter who was named Jessamine and speaking of wilmore- there's a cute soda shoppe but I can't remember the name
- Katie Mueller Gonna defer (again) to Marc Wilson and Liles Bennett Taylor on this one-they've got the good Asbury connections.
- Katie Mueller Marc Wilson-it is becoming more and more clear that this would be a lonely state without you!
- Liles Bennett Taylor Marisa I believe you're thinking of Sim's Drug Store, with the soda fountain. They also have great milk shakes.
I'd first and foremost go to Nicholasville to visit my in-laws, Milton & Verna Lowe. And I'd probably eat at Solomon's Porch in Wilmore. I'd definitely visit Asbury, but there are way too many people to mention them all, so I'll just mention a couple: Ian Canada & Paul Stephens for some reminiscing of my time in Asbury Student Government. - Elizabeth Sawyer I am going to go walk for Jacqueline Coleman! And probably catch Emma playing ball too!
- Jeff Noble Many years ago, before many of you were born, a friend and I used to go down to a little camp on the Kentucky River just above the confluence with the Dix River, by the generating plant off Lock #7 Road. Those were good times. If I'm in the area, I'd probably go back and check it out.
