SB-59. Kenton County
#59
is KENTON COUNTY (named for early pioneer and frontiersman Simon
Kenton; it boasts two county seats - Covington & Independence).
Where do you eat & who do you visit? #KY120Game — with Charlotte Flanary and 17 others.
- 5 people like this.
- Charlotte Flanary Col Owens and Milly Hudson Diehl. I would have a meal and a drink or two with them.
- Kerry Holleran You have to stop and see the hardest working Democratic woman in NKY, Virginia Johnson, But she lives way out in the country, so meet her in Covington and eat at Otto's. Or in Fort Wright at Walt's Hitching Post.
- Sherman A. Brown When I moved to Northern Kentucky in 1999, one of my favorite restaurants quickly became Korean Riverside in Covington. If you have never had Korean, this is the place in KY to try it. I have run into Marc Wilson at Oriental Wok, and seen Xavier's basketball coach at Dewey's Pizza - two other places I frequent.
As far as people to visit, most of my in-laws live there so I'm pretty set but I'll eat whatever Ginger Haven & Robin Price put on the table. - Katie Mueller I feel like we are going to have to do some kind of Marc Wilson tribute after this game is over.
- Travis M. Scott This game could easily be made into a book called "The Politician's Guide to Kentucky"
- Julia Bright Crigler Alecia Webb Edgington and Adam Koenig and Tuna. Dewey's, Ottos, Bouquet and unofficial GOP hub Oriental Wok. Visit Stacey Tapke and then my husband at work!
- Brandy Bailey Eat at Otto's. Take a walk along the Licking River. Visit Virginia Johnson, Milly Hudson Diehl and Col Owens, Candace Witte and Paul Witte, Stephen L J Hoffman, Kerry Holleran, and Arnold Ray Simpson.
- Josh Estep Main Strasse is definitely the place to be with a ton of different restaurants and bars of many different types. Otto's is defiantly a place to check out, I remember having some of the greatest mashed potatoes outside of Johnson county ever there. Now as far as restaurants go one of my favorites is outside of Covington it is a place called Garzellies in Erlanger. You will get some of the best garlic cheese bread around there along with some awesome calzones.
- Marc Wilson I'm just going to gnaw on cornbread over at Nathan Smith s Pink Palace, where everybody knows your name. And I'm probably having lunch at The Metropolitan Club with assorted pols, Republican and Democrat. If only we could get Cincinnati to annex Covington, it would make Kenton County smell better.
- Keith Buckhout I'd um...go visit my parents and pretty much everyone I know from high school. Then I'd eat at the Skyline, Montgomery Inn and Greaters all off the Buttermilk exit. Obviously. Kenton County: it's a great place to be from!
- Milly Hudson Diehl The Greyhound Grill - a Kenton County landmark. Best cod sandwich - always served on rye bread and fried chicken worth the drive north.Who remembers the Beer garden?
From a family with 6
generations of Kenton Co.
history- I LOV the COV! Thanks to all who are working to bring the heart of our county back to its former vibrancy. - Matt Osborne Last time I was in Covington, I ate at a burger joint downtown. I can't remember the name, but it was good.
- Milly Hudson Diehl PS - all my down state friends are welcome to join Col and me on the front porch for cocktails
any evening. - Stephen L J Hoffman Marc Wilson, sorry my friend but I am going to take great offense to that comment you just stated. "Marc Wilson: . And I'm probably having lunch at The Metropolitan Club with assorted pols, Republican and Democrat. If only we could get Cincinnati to annex Covington, it would make Kenton County smell better." Not cool at all Marc.
- Wes Wright Too many people to mention. Colonial Cottage, Greyhound Tavern. I would have said Chez Nora but it closed last December.
