- 2 people like this.
- Jeff Noble My only recent trips to McCreary were to take my Mom, nieces, and nephews to Stearns to ride the train down into the valley, visit the old coal camp, and walk across the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River.
- Katie Mueller I don't have a thing to contribute about McCreary County aside from Cumberland falls, but I REALLY love the Google thing today-thanks for the heads-up on that, Sherman!
- Travis M. Scott I have only been to McCreary County once, to help nominate a candidate for County Attorney after the previous one passed away. Ashley Rowe Slaven is from there, I believe, and she'd be a better point of contact.
- Ashley Rowe Slaven The best place to eat in the county is the Dairy Bar, located on Main St. It is a 1950's dining experience complete with counter service, car hops, golden oldies playing on the radio, and 50's decor inside and out. The Stearns Restaurant was also a good place to eat, but it was destroyed by a fire.
